My Secret Subscription Box Obsession: Featuring Frock Box

in review on 18/10/15

Every mom knows that “ugh” feeling when you’ve been up all night with a little one and you’re just not ready to face the day. Those are the days I try to make a concerted effort to do the opposite of what would be easy to do – succumb to the blah feeling and stay in sweats all day. On these days I try to do my hair, put on a nice outfit, and wear an extra special accessory to dress the part of feeling fab. It’s less about “faking it ’til you make it” and more about the psychological impact it has on your psyche when you invest in a little self-care.

My newest obsession for just such an occasion is subscription boxes. I confess that I have spent waaaay too many hours scouring the Internet looking for anything new and shiny that captures my attention! This has been a problem since my husband’s recent layoff…but hey – a girl can dream right?

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by a vendor I have chosen to work with. I have received either paid compensation and/or free product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own based only on my own experience.
I was excited to come across Frock Box – a Canadian company carving it’s own name into the subscription box market.

When I first saw the little purple package lying on the office desk, I literally leaped for joy. It was a typical involuntary action that creeps up whenever I get something exciting in the mail (my husband regarded me strangely and went back to work…). This was the first actual delivery I’ve received from a subscription service so I could barely contain myself!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from their Frockbox Jewel, but I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. In the big reveal I discovered a bold statement bracelet from another Canadian company, Eliasz & Ella. There are few things that make me happier than supporting small local businesses and this one is even a fellow Albertan from Edmonton, AB! #hollah!
The color is stunning – beautiful teal and brown tones that pair with almost anything in your wardrobe. I first wore it with jeans and a navy sweater. Later, for our anniversary dinner, I paired it with a black and white fitted dress. It really is day to night.
Though I’m not often one for bracelets because of my inordinately tiny wrist, this one was versatile enough to let it dangle and bit or wear over a sweater.
Based on my first selection I would definitely be interested in more of what Frock Box has to offer. You can peruse their selection of options for jewels or clothing on their website.
Have you tried Frock Box or similar subscription boxes? I would love to hear from you! Leave a comment below!

I love the bracelet! So pretty. I think I'm more obsessed seeing what everyone else gets in their subscription boxes. I've never actually subscribed myself 🙂 I just can't decide on one!

Looks fab! I used to have a bracelet collection, until my daughter "discovered" them and made them her toys. LOL I was happy to share but I have to start collecting more again. Maybe when she's a little bigger!

I don't wear bracelets all that often either because my wrists are also super tiny, but these are really cute! :]
